Volunteer with Capital Sound

(Parents also earn $15 toward a member's dues for each shift worked!)

We are in need of volunteers for each leg of tour this summer. Tour requires a staff of drivers (requires Airbrake CDL), chaperones, souvenir sales and cooks. For info, click here.



Capital Sound relies upon its parents! Even if you can't volunteer during our tours there are other ways to help:

• FOOD PREP: At weekend rehearsals, there are meals to be made, dishes to be washed, uniforms to launder, and equipment to repair.
• FUNDRAISERS/SPECIAL EVENTS: Every month, there are fundraisers to be planned, events to staff, and more.
• CONCESSION STANDS: Capital Sound staffs concession stands at Camp Randall stadium and the Kohl Center.
• BINGO: Capital Sound operates a bingo game at the Eagle's Club, 2109 Bartillon Drive.

What do you gain from all this activity? You gain a host of new friends and the satisfaction of knowing that you are helping them to grow into responsible and successful young adults. Former Capital Sound volunteer coordinator Rick Melcher, a math teacher, states "I enjoy the challenge of being around young people and the thrill of watching them mature into young adults."

As noted above, all parents who volunteer will earn $15 per shift toward a member's dues.
